This machine allows you to train both the shoulders and the chest with a single unit. Let’s start with the shoulder exercises. The lateral raise is performed by gripping the handles and moving the arms outward to the sides. This movement is usually done with dumbbells or cables, but using this machine keeps the motion perfectly balanced, allowing you to focus directly on the lateral delts. The height can be adjusted to match your body size, so setting it to align with your shoulder joint using the side pin is important. For rear delts, you can place your forehead against the pad attached to the machine, lean forward, and perform the same motion to effectively target the rear deltoids. By adjusting the handle angle with a pin, the machine can also be used for a fly movement, allowing you to focus on contracting the chest muscles. Because it uses a weight stack system, intensity techniques such as drop sets are very easy to perform—simply change the pin to adjust the weight. In addition, the arms move independently, so you can train one side at a time. This allows for even greater focus compared to using both arms together.
